Networking. The number one benefit of ASTD is networking. We network with peers and colleagues, learning from one another, discussing our successes and problems, and identifying friends we can call on for help and expertise.
Growing in our profession. Our monthly programs are designed to bring in new ideas from experts in the area. The national conferences bring together the best in training professionals with the latest trends and best practices in training and development.
Career opportunities. Our online Job Bank as well as our informal networking give our members access to news of the opportunities for advancement in the training and development fields.
Leadership development. ASTD affords willing members opportunities to hone their leadership skills in a safe environment with mentoring and guidance from seasoned leaders.
Joining or Renewing Membership
Join or renew your membership in the Mississippi Chapter of ASTD, including the Geographical Interest Groups meeting in north Mississippi, Hattiesburg, or the Gulf Coast, by choosing the kind of membership you want, mailing your dues to the treasurer, and registering online.
Whether you meet in Jackson or in one of the other locations, you'll apply for membership here. We'll give you an opportunity to choose the group you want to join.

Registering in the Database
New Members
If you're new to the Mississippi Chapter of ASTD, you'll need to register in our online database.
Go to the Home page and choose Register under the login in the right column. Then fill out your information in our database.
Mail your payment as instructed below. As soon as we receive your check, we'll activate your account and send you instructions for logging into the members only portion of the site.
Renewing Members
If you're renewing your membership, fill out the application and mail your check as described below. When we receive your check, we'll activate your account online and contact you to go online and update your account information for the database.
Mailing Your Dues
Mail your dues to the address below. Be sure to include your name with your check. We often get checks from companies without individual names so we don't know who to contact.
In the case of corporate memberships, please list individual names for membership.
