Welcome to the Mississippi Chapter of ASTD

Welcome to the Mississippi Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. We invite you to browse through the site for information about our Chapter and to visit with us in one of our meetings.

We're associated with the national ASTD organization through one ASTD chapter, called the Mississippi Chapter. We have four groups: the Chapter and three geographical interest groups (GIGs). The Chapter meets in Jackson, and the GIGs meet in North Mississippi, Hattiesburg, and the Gulf Coast.

If you're in the training or human resources field, or if you're interested in one of those fields, we welcome to join us at one of these location. You'll find more details about our organizations and those who would benefit from them on the About Us tab on the main menu. Please take a look.

Looking for an ASTD Group Meeting in Your Area?

We're happy to report that we have three groups meeting outside the Jackson area. We refer to these as Geographical Interest Groups or GIGs. They include—

Gulf Coast Lighthouse GIG
Northwest Mississippi GIG
Hattiesburg GIG

You'll find information about each of these GIGs on the related menu tab with a list of the officers, contact information, and information about meetings.

The GIGs are all part of the Mississippi Chapter of ASTD with headquarters in Jackson. You may join any of the GIGs by registering on this site right under the Login and sending a check to the treasurer as indicated.

When you register online, you'll have an opportunity to choose membership in a GIG in your area.
